If that case, you would need to bring your gown and any other dresses to our store for steaming. We can provide same-day service or next-day service; whichever you prefer. If you require same-day service, please allow a minimum of 2 hours for us to complete your steaming. For all in-store steamings, you will need to let us know when you will be bringing your dress in and when you will be picking it up so we can be sure to have it ready for you.Back to Top
Yes! We can always steam additional garments with bridal gowns, such as bridesmaids, flower girls, and mothers dresses. If you are bringing your tuxedos, we can steam those, too. For on-site service, these garments must be in the same hotel room as the bridal gown.Back to Top
Certain fabrics, including silk satin, any type of taffeta, and any type of faille, cannot be steamed and must be pressed with an iron. We do not normally bring an iron unless we are notified in advance that it will be needed. If you are unsure of the fabric, check the label or consult the store where you purchased your dress. The label listing the fiber contents of your gown's fabric is normally at the zipper. Fiber content is listed as a percentage. Look for wording like "Outer shell 100% polyester" or "Outer shell 100% silk" or "Outer shell 50% silk, 50% polyester". The fiber contents of the lining should also be listed, and are typically polyester, acetate, or silk. It is not vital that we know what the lining is made of, so don't worry if it is not listed.
What makes our service stand out is that all steamings and pressings, whether in out shop or at your hotel, are done by an expert bridal seamstress. This means that the person steaming your gown has years of experience and knowledge of bridal fabrics, laces, and their treatment. This is essential to the proper care of your precious gown!Back to Top
No. Steaming only remove wrinkles, it does not clean your dress. Please refer to the Gown Cleaning and Preservation section for more information on having your gown cleaned.Back to Top
Im not sure how many other dresses will need to be steamed, can I add them on the day of my appointment?
Extra dresses can usually be added with no problem, but we do not recommend it. During peak wedding season we may not have enough time before we have to get to the next brides appointment. Instead, we recommend that you let us know the maximum number of dresses that might need to be steamed when you book your appointment. There is no cancellation fee if some do not need to be steamed, but we will be sure to allow enough time, just in case.Back to Top
No, we do not.Back to Top
Yes. Due to the extra travel time and fuel costs, there is a minimum of 1 bridal gown or 4 dresses or tuxedos (in any combination). There are no minimums on in-store steamings.Back to Top
You may prepay with a credit card before your appointment or you may pay cash at the time of service, whichever is most convenient. Please note that we cannot charge your steaming to your hotel room.Back to Top
There is no cancellation fee. We simply ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel your appointment. We often get last minute steaming requests, and we would hate to have to turn away anyone unnecessarily. When you arrive, please inspect gown to see how well it has traveled, and give us a call right away if you decide it does not need to be steamed.Back to Top
